Customer service was terrinle when I noticed a customer had requested the employee to pour out some of the popcorn out of her bag so she could put butter in the middle of the bag. Instead of the employee trashing the popcorn he took out it was placed back in the bin mixing with the other popcorn. The butter dispenser was located on another counter a short distance sway.
The clerk took the bag from the customer and poured the popcorn back into the popcorn bin and gave it back to the customer.
After noticing this I spoke to the employee and told them that he cannot put popcorn back in the bin once the customer has handled the bag. I requested that when he get my popcorn that it is taken directly from the cooker when it is poured into the bin. He asked one of his coworkers to get me the popcorn and she had a nasty attitude.
This is an infection control issue and I will report it to the health department. I did speak to the manager but she failed to remove the popcorn from the bin and clean the bin instead she allowed the staff to continue to serve to the customers.
