When calling the store, they answer and hang up the phone to avoid talking to customers. Overall, the employees are disconnected from any type of positive customer service experience. Frankly they are rude and don’t care. So why should I give Walmart my business if the employees cannot engage when I need assistance? Amazon you have finally won ALL my business because your customer service is top notch.
UPDATE: When I walked into the store I found two people at customer service. One was sorting returns to be put back on the shelves. The other was on a personal call seated behind the customer service desk. I called with my cellphone to see if she would pick up — she ignored my first two calls and answered my third only to hang up on me and go back to her personal call. I tried approaching the customer service desk and both employees immediately left from behind me and ignored me. I approached a manager and told him what happened. He apologized and acknowledged it was an on going issue at this store. Just to see if he could witness what I did, we used my cell phone to call the store — he witnessed the same thing I did. Sam Walton would have NEVER allowed this from his employees.
AGAIN, Amazon prevails because they answer their phones, have engaging & knowledgeable customer service representatives, and of course competitive prices. Because of my Prime membership I get anything that Walmart has in 2 days or less.
