Dr. K is a wonderful doctor. I really like her a lot. When I came to her my A1C was 10 and we have gotten it down to 6.0. The only down fall is her staff. They are very friendly but they lack acknowledgement in diabetes. I came to Dr. K from The Jones Center. I was also very happy with them, my A1C was 13 and came down once I started my insulin pump that they helped my receive and thats when my blood sugars stated to come down. I received 10 hour of classes on my pump and counting carbs. Everyone at The Jones Center are very acknowledged when it comes to diabetes and very friendly. I only left because of the distance. I had one of Dr. K employees tell me to disconnect my pump at the pump and not the site which is a BIG NO NO. That's because you will receive in your body all that insulin that's in the tubing and have a high chance of overdose if you didn't need the insulin!!! Also it took one lady 6 sticks to take my blood, I have NEVER had that happen before. I'm always easy to get blood from. Also I need my blood drawn for my A1C for Emory because I needed surgery and they didn't want to do the surgery unless my A1C was less than 8.0, and she was going to do one of those disposable and I let her know that is not the one I need that it's not accurate and she keeps telling me it is. She got very upset so I told her to let me talk to Dr. K. As I already knew we did both and the disposable read 7.5 and the blood drawn read 7.9. I am going to give her office 1 more try because I do really like her and she's close, where The Jones Center is in Macon near Riverside.
