Nails & Spa For U

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO THERE. I visited Nails For U with my best friend mid April 2018 and we were both wanting a pedicure and acrylic nails for our prom the next day. The place itself was nice and was very clean and sanatized. However the paint job on my toes weren't the best, it was streaky and uneven but I dealt with it because my parents were paying. The acrylics though were NOT my favorite! When finished they were uneven and some were thicker than others. She also filed down my natural nails way too much so I wasn't happy about that. Honestly she seemed like she just wanted to get done. Post visit I found out that there are two types of Acrylic powder that salons use. EMA & MMA. EMA is safe for your nails and it is what professional nail artists use. While as MMA is a lot cheaper to buy so sadly a lot of nail salons use it and charge you the same price as a professional nail artist would charge for EMA Acrylics. MMA is DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL! It has caused extreme nail loss and breakage! So naturally after finding all of that out I wanted them off ASAP. And sure enough it was MMA. My nails are naturally very strong but now they are weak. Thank you Nails For U but you are definetely not for me.
