Definitely the best restaurant in the Emory area, and one of my favorites in Atlanta. They're known for their pastrami (which is amazing), but you really can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches or dishes. Just a couple of side notes about the menu: the trout salad is mashed and with mayo, like tuna salad. The pickled vegetables are okay by themselves, but fantastic with a sandwich. The deviled eggs are heavenly, and the coffee is better than most coffee shops. All of the ingredients they use are fresh and well cooked and combined, and they get their bread right next door at TGM bread. They're very consistent in quality between visits, so you can always expect good food here. The only downsides are the wait during peak lunch and dinner times and the occasional running out of stuff, but the food comes out fast once you do get a table.
Overall, nothing too fancy. Just simple food done right.
