Coastal State Prison

The staff here is very disrespectful and rude for a lack of better words. I was here visiting my loved one last month. We were "assigned" to seats right under the air conditioning vent. Since it was a nice April day, I did not bring my jacket in. This was also my first time experiencing visitation in the gym, unlike before (December) it was held in the library. My loved one asked one of the officers if we could move because it was extremely cold and he said, "No." He said that he would ask someone else (lies) and surprise, surprise, "they" also said, "No." I have not only experienced this rudeness in visitation, but I've also experienced it over the phone. I absolutely despise how they not only treat visitors, but also how the non-violent inmates are treated. My loved one comes home in October and it's not coming soon enough. The only pro to this prison is it's location. Every visit feels like a mini vacay!
