I have called multiple times to report animal abuse. My neighbors have 4 sometimes 5 dogs in a 3 by 5 pin with no access to clean water and a tarp over it. It smells horrible. The dogs bark incessantly at all hours of the day and night. Fleas are over taking our yard despite treatments by both ourselves and a professional service, and they have so many cats that they are now taking to yearning up our personal property as well. Animal control refuses to do anything. They say that they don't understand what the problem is! What a waste of county resources. We need an ASPCA!

This review is for the veterinary team. I adopted a tiny, bony, malnourished 7 week old kitten with ear mites and a mild upper respiratory infection. Before I took him home, they gave him a rabies vaccination. He died of anaphylactic shock less than 24 hours later. I had taken him to the Forsyth Animal Hospital immediately after I adopted him and the vet there said that he should have never been given a rabies vaccination at such a young age, and while he was clearly ill, because his immune system was already compromised. WHY ISN'T THE VET STAFF AT CHATHAM COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES AWARE OF SUCH A SIMPLE AND BASIC PIECE OF VETERINARY KNOWLEDGE? When they administered that rabies vaccine, they signed a death warrant for my kitten. Simply because of their own IGNORANCE. Shame on you!
