I bought a used Nissan Titan truck from Cannon Used Cars in May 2017 and was very unhappy with my experience. In short, had mechanical issues with the used truck that I purchased from them and even worse, four months after purchasing the truck from Cannon, they never sent the title to the bank! Eventually returned the truck for a loss of about $3500. More details below: The day after purchasing the truck I noticed there was a lot of smoke coming out of the tailpipe. Took the truck back to Cannon and they worked on the issue for over a month before returning the truck to me on June 3. During that time a loaner vehicle was given to me. The worst part of my experience is that my temporary tag expired on June 3, and despite many follow ups with the bank, Cannon never sent the bank the title for the truck. I was unable to apply for a tag until the bank received the title, so I was given their Dealer’s tag to drive around with. Come September, 4 MONTHS after purchasing the truck, the bank still had not received the title. I was tired of dealing with this and just wanted to return the truck and get my money back. While trying to return the truck, Chuck was pushing back and tried convincing me that he had the title. At this point i was not willing to wait any longer, and eventually we worked out a deal to return the truck. In total I lost about $3500 and learned a valuable lesson.
From the second my husband and I drove on the lot, we knew this was the right place for us. We had traveled all over looking at used cars. You just felt the peaceful atmosphere there. We found a vehicle online, had great pictures, called to see if it was still available and what their hours were. They typically would have been closed by the time we arrived but said they'd meet us there, it didn't matter closing time. Very accommodating to our schedule and our interests. Chad answered our questions very honestly and with a level of transparency. You got the feeling these people here are honest people, not trying to pull a fast one on you. My husband is a hard sale and asked him a lot of direct questions but it didn't matter. The response was always polite, consistent, and professional. We had our youngest son who is 13 months with us. They didn't mind him during the process. Getting in the vehicle, getting fussy, or taking time out to play with him. It's a family oriented business atmosphere. No intimidation, no harassment, no pressure. All smiles and polite conversations. We decided the car was what we wanted, people were professional and honest, we were sowing into a Christian business, so the decision was easy as those things were important to us. It was already after hours and dinner time. They stayed late for us to finish the paperwork. Our son was tired and hungry. We were offered a gift card to get dinner while the process was being wrapped up. It was such a blessing that the people there cared enough about our family and the baby needs outside of just closing a car deal. We truly felt we were being treated as they'd want to be treated, with fairness, honesty, and integrity. Those traits in a used car dealership are very rare! There was a reverse light out on the vehicle we were buying. While we did paperwork, the bulb was replaced free of charge. Talk about customer service! There were a few other examples of customer service that definitely solidified, we made the right choice from buying from Cannon. I would highly recommend stopping in to see what Cannon could offer you. We are very pleased with the process from beginning to end from Chad and Chuck.
