Evening....ruined. My husband and I happened upon the 1907 in Elijay on our weekend away. Ready for dinner, we followed the 1907 signs up the stairs to the dining room. There were no tables available so we were told to go to the bar. My husband ordered us two drinks. The lady working the bar told us that she didn't know how to work the cash register, so we had to wait for our change. Not a problem. We're generally easy going. We stood sipping our drinks for 15 minutes waiting for someone to clear the table right in front of us. We were eventually seated and the lady from the bar placed our change on our table. 10 minutes later, no server no menus. Finally a young Male waiter came up to the table to ask us if our waitress had been over. Nope. He seemed much more interested in our change that was on the table. Maybe he thought we were trying to abscond with his tip....Who knows. He returned 10 minutes later, obviously agitated, and slid some menus across the table to us and then said, "Just to let you know before you order, our kitchen is really busy." Okay? I looked around the room and we were two of about 15 people. Just in case you're keeping track, we were in this establishment for more than 30 minutes with no service and basically told that they didn't have time to serve us. Finally, we left. Don't eat here! No food is worth being treated like this!
